Founder and President, Sunlight Time Foundation
Buffy Redsecker is founder and president of The SunLight Time Foundation. She founded it with her husband, serial entrepreneur Alan Chung “to support creative and disruptive approaches to traditional problems with an emphasis on planetary health.” This directive gives them the flexibility to move through the diversity of program areas that focus on the planet to find ones that are creating change. In addition to her work with The Foundation, Redsecker serves as board chair for the International League of Conservation Photographers.
In her conservation photography work, Redsecker was a field producer and natural history guide for a story in National Geographic Magazine on goliath grouper. She also collaborated on a harp seal segment of a National Geographic story on the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and used her field experience and local knowledge to scout a story for the magazine on sargassum.
Redsecker holds an M.F.A. in dramatic writing and a B.A. in ancient military history.
