BREAKOUT II:
Creating Network Maps For Philanthropy

Effective funders seek out ways to understand who else is supporting issues, strategies, and communities in their areas of interest. They recognize that a broader network exists beyond who they know. Increasing access to data about grantmaking has enabled interactive mapping tools that can help guide grantmakers and inform decisions. This session will focus on several efforts to map funding networks, discuss what was learned, and identify challenges and opportunities for foundations to support and benefit from these works.
