Musicians
The musicians performing at the 2017 CEP Conference are representing the Boston-based nonprofit, From the Top.
From the Top is America’s largest national platform celebrating the stories, character, and talents of classically trained young musicians. Through a weekly NPR program, live events, video broadcasts, and scholarship and leadership programs, From the Top empowers extraordinary young people to engage and inspire music lovers of all ages.
Nineteen-year-old Mira Williams, viola, is a two-time alum of NPR’s From the Top with Host Christopher O’Riley, the most popular weekly one-hour classical music program on public radio, where she performed in 2013 and 2014. She is also a recipient of the From the Top Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award.
The Tempus Quartet is Greta Myatieva (20, from Boston, Massachusetts) and Victoria Pan (20, from Tega Cay, South Carolina), violin; Mira Williams, viola (19, from Chicago, Illinois); and McKinley James, cello (20, from Shelburne, Vermont).
