President and CEO, Houston Endowment
Ann Stern is the president and CEO of Houston Endowment, a private foundation that enhances the vibrancy of greater Houston and advances equity of opportunity for the people who live here. The foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations totaling approximately $80 million per year, working to enhance civic assets, promote post-secondary success, strengthen systems that support residents, and build a stronger region. Prior to joining the foundation in 2012, Stern served as executive vice president of Texas Children’s Hospital, where she was previously general counsel. Stern received a Bachelor of Arts – Plan II and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
