Supporting Nonprofit Sustainability

The “Overhead Myth” refuses to die. High-performing nonprofits require adequate funds to do everything from training and retaining talented staff, to running well-executed programs, to gathering beneficiary feedback and conducting effective performance evaluations. Yet the notion that potential donors to nonprofits should evaluate organizations based on the percentage of their budget spent on fundraising and administrative costs persists. What role can foundations play in advocating for and funding nonprofits’ quests for sustainability? This dynamic panel featuring foundation and nonprofit leaders will focus on their experiences with ample funding for long-term nonprofit success.
