How can funders encourage nonprofits to “reposition” themselves for greater impact by exploring alternative business models to most effectively deliver upon their missions with strength? These include permanent, long-term collaborations such as shared back office arrangements, joint ventures, and mergers, as well as fiscal sponsorship structures. This panel will explore several efforts nationally, discuss lessons learned, and will focus on ways in which funders can better encourage and support these sometimes bold moves among nonprofits in their communities.
